HOW DID HE BECAME SO MUSCULAR ?
Now, before some of you start saying that this is more due to the fact that Zorzal grew up in a world and at a time when the struggle for survival was an absolutely normal and common thing.
I want to emphasize that Zorzal, to everyone's surprises, is of royal blood, so he would have been born and raised in the luxury and comfort of an entire palace, with maids and servants to satisfy any of his desires.
But, in this way, he would be obese now, since all he would have done was to be lazy and to eat.
So again, I raise the question: How, exactly, did he became so muscular and fit, in the first place ?
Now, my first obvious theory is that he had undergone the military training of an Imperial soldier.
But if this was really the only case, why don't we see an Imperial Army soldier who is as muscular and bulky as he is.
My secondary theory is that, in addition to his military training, he also practiced various types of sports from that era.
Now, because we do not receive so much information about what kind of sports are practiced in the Empire, I will go with the strong Roman, Greek and Medieval Era influence on the show and I will say that the sports that Zorzal would have practiced, would have been:
GLADIATOR FIGHTING
ROMAN BOXING
CHARIOT RACING
WRESTLING
Now, before some of you start asking, "If Zorzal had really practiced those kinds of sports, then why did Shino manage to beat him so easily?"
Well, I can answer to this question by saying that modern fighting styles and ancient fighting styles are quite different from each other, martial arts improving significantly over time.
So Shino, thanks to her modern military training, has much more expertise in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat fighting styles, than Zorzal, with his training in ancient martial arts.
My third and final theory is that he would have followed this ancient Greek advice, to train while you were drunk, which could also have explained his obsession with alcohol.
The advice saying that you thus, training when you are drunk, you manage to lose more calories (you thus fulfilling the training at a higher difficulty level) and at the same time you manage to eliminate through perspiration more toxins from your body (although yes, alcohol is still incredibly toxic).
Now, these are all my theories about how Zorzal would have become so muscular, if you had others, please tell them in the comments.
